As much as I love going to conferences, I have to say they are super-hard on my productivity. Thankfully Char took over Monday Motivation last week - and this week I still have a lot of catching up to do.
Speaking of which, Char threw down a reward to a Monday Motivation participant if she didn’t get her list done - and she didn’t, which might have had something to do with their new family member Fritz:
So that means that Andrea gets some free advertising on one of Char’s blogs. Now aren’t you glad you were productive last week? 
Today I’ll throw out the same offer - a free banner ad that will be featured in a new theme I am rolling out very soon - so if I don’t get the stuff done below, one of you fine readers gets a free month of advertising on this site!
So what the heck is Monday Motivation anyway?
Step 1 - let us know what you are going to get done today (your to-do list, so to speak).
Step 2 - put it in a comment below or a post on your own site.
Step 3 - let us know what will motivate you to get it done - a reward, consequences, or whatever you need to think that will ensure you do what you say you are going to do. I’ve found that the public announcement and accountability is a particularly great motivator, but throw down consequences if you really need a kick in the pants to get stuff done! Unless, of course, you are working towards a new laptop too, in which case I think the reward is particularly motivating.
We don’t care how you get it done, we just want to support you in reaching your goals.
Before I go to sleep today I will:
- Clean out my inbox of 308 emails
- Put up GoDaddy’s new ad campaign
- Set up my adserver for the new theme across all blogs
- Write up my rebranding post
And before the end of the week I will:
- Have new logo created
- Have everything Steve needs to him by Tuesday
- Legal contracts to authors updated and sent
- Posts up about SOBCon and for my Inspired Entrepreneur blog
If I don’t get this done by the time I said I would, heck, one of you - let’s make it three of you - get a month’s worth of advertising for free on eMoms at Home.

Have you ever tried typing with a cute little kitty sleeping on your lap? Fritz is just too darn distracting. Hopefully this week will be more productive - it has to be - next week is spring break and I may just have to write that week off completely.

Ok, so this week I’m all about marketing, but have to fit it in with some new client work.
By the end of the day today, I will…
1. Update header graphic on client site
2. Develop html/text for client email ad
3. Do billing / send out invoices
By the end of the week, I will…
1. Finish development on client site
2. Write meta tags for my site
3. Submit my site to the search engines
4. Submit my site to CSS design galleries
As a reward for getting everything done, I’m going to enjoy a nice relaxing candle-lit bath on Friday night, and get a FULL 8+ hours of sleep! Maybe even 10 hours if I’m lucky (I’ve been scraping by on a measly 4-5 hrs a night… it’s catching up to me!)
Or, if I don’t get it all done, my consequence will be to (finally) clean the fish tank in the office. It needs to be done anyway, lol…

Oh man! I should’ve popped in here earlier - like first thing in the morning! Today has been uber-unproductive! I have had a good day with the kids, though - who are home for spring break! So that counts for something! Tomorrow’s a new day, right?

I am defineately up for some advertising , especially if I have my new solo home business blog up by April 1. Otherwise The Highway would love to put a banner up.
So today I will
1 write a blog post- done
2.Listen to A new Earth web cast as it is helping both for my blog and getting calmer. Just being.
3. Start to Declutter my studio so I can make an art quilt over Easter for a competition, due next Wednesday- it’s just a small one.
4.Write my desire statement for my business
5. Write a post for my new blog and get the header sorted
6. Have Fun.
When I get this all done, I will celebrate and curl up with a book.
If I don’t I will get up extra early tomorrow to complete the above tasks
I got all of my work done for today!
The list was:
-Respond to 5 emails
-Email all people who haven’t activated their email subscription to my blog via Feedburner (this turned out to be 37 emails)
-Post a conference schedule to the conference website (for a conference I’m setting up in May)
-3 specific phone calls
All done, and now it’s bedtime. Good luck with your goals!
