A friendly place to find help & encourage one another |
I just spent 51 hours over the last three days as a trainer with an Anthony Robbins & Associates sales training. These seminars are actually quite magical - but I must admit - when Monday comes, it hits me like a ton of bricks.
So I’m going to go easy on myself for today’s Monday Motivation. You are free to do the same or whip my unproductive butt today!
So how does Monday Motivation work? Simple.
- Tell us what you’re going to do.
-
Tell us what will motivate you to get it done.
(either your reward or your ‘leverage’).
For example, today I will:
- Write two more blog posts
- Clean out my inbox
- Schedule a conference call
- Write a marketing email for a client
If I don’t get this stuff done, I will give away my five favorite pairs of jeans away to my daughter (I only have 6-7 pairs!!) - never to be worn again!
Want to kick your own productive butt into gear today? Simply leave a comment with what you will be getting done today, or throw up your own post - then go get to work!
I love these Monday posts!
I am going to:
1. Post the contestants of my next contest on my blog
2. Eat Wheaties for breakfast
3. Clean out my Mailbox
4. Take care of bills
IF I DON’T accomplish these tasks… I will…. not listen to music for 24 hours (which would be insane!)
I have a lot on my plate today, which is exactly the way I like it.
(1)I will read one chapter of a textbook.
(2) Go out to dinner with my girlfriend.
(3) read a chapter in the bible
(4) Write 20 article posts in my blogs
(5) Go Jogging
(6) HAVE FUN!!!
By the way, Anthony Robbins is one of my inspirations in life… Such as great motivator, but most importantly he’s such a great human being.
[1] Return all my calls from Friday (I was lazy).
[2] Go to the gym (I missed 3 days).
[3] Watch 24.
Let’s see. If I don’t complete 1 & 2, I won’t do 3.
1. Clean the house
2. Give baby a bath.
3. Read my book (for once).
4. SLEEP!!
Hehe Now let’s see if it gets done!
Ok this is my first time so I’ll be gentle to myself
(1) I’ll improve my blog even more
(2) Generate even more traffic to it
(3) Travel to Egypt with my family and celebrate my parent’s 25th wedding day
(4) Drink the special brewed beer I recently bought
Now if I don’t do the first three I won’t drink the beer
Here’s my list:
*Finish my marketing plan for a client
*Plan this week’s blog posts
*Update my GTD project-lists
*Clean out my email inbox
*Finish revising my ebook for 2.0 release
And here’s the “motivation”:
If I don’t achieve these goals, I will have to wake up an hour earlier tomorrow morning at 5AM!!! (Yuck.)
-Jason
I am trying to think of a name for my consulting since I am getting clients now I might as well name it
And work on all of my websites.
It’s a little late in the day for this post…but my goals for the day, set this morning, are:
1. Write today’s blog post
2. Register/get my website listed in Best of The Web and Gimpsy
3. Determine the new content for my homepage
I’ve already finished 1 and 2. Getting started on 3.
If I don’t finish 3. I’ll move firewood for an hour (ugh.)
Hi! It’s my first time to post a comment here and I know it’s extremely late already but seeing this list has somehow infected me to post mine. I love lists
They were set this morning but I can indicate status, right?
1. Get inbox cleared (done)
2. Finish proposal before lunch (finished at 2:00)
3. Check on David Shae’s review of Tim Ferriss’ upcoming 4-Hour Workweek (about to do so in several minutes)
4. Arrange date this weekend (will be done later tonight
If I don’t finish the last two items, I’m lending my Playstation to my brother for the next month.
Just wanted to make an update to my task list, everything was accomplished besides the bills, and those are sitting here ready to be taken care of tomorrow!
