The Power Station - Portable Electronics Recharger

Although my kids are getting older now (my youngest is four), you would think they were all 2 years old with the things they STILL get into and the messes they make! GAH!

My son especially LOVES plugging in - and unplugging - our cell phones (And then leaves them over the house. Usually under cushions. While the phone is on vibrate. Grrrrr. )

But with this little phone caddy, I think I could actually encourage him to put the darn thing away in it’s proper place by persuading him think the caddy is a TOY.

Ooooooo, I’m so sneaky! (Yeah, I know. I’m skeptical it will work too.)

Fall Patchwork Shopper

OK, I might just have to admit I am a purse-a-holic. Now I know I am the ONLY woman on the planet with this affliction, so please just bear with me as I drool over yet another swanky purse from eBags.

Actually, I’m much better about acquiring new purses now that I work out of the home again - but that doesn’t mean I can’t drool…

Work as a Spiritual Path

Perhaps you approach your business in the same way I do - by asking “How can we make a difference in this world through our work?”. Or perhaps this is something you want to incorporate more into your business.

Either way, to enrich our lives and our work, I believe a touch of spirituality is a good thing. And anything that helps us get there is an even better thing. ;)

Spy Sweeper

I work best under pressure - and I love moving fast! I bought a great laptop to keep up with me… But, I’m sure you know how the story goes…

I install Firefox to surf faster.

I install voice recognition software to type faster.

I install Outlook plugins to email faster.

Then icky people install spyware so they can make money faster.

And now my speedy machine isn’t so speedy anymore. :(

Paper Denim Fitted Jacket

It’s officially Fall, and it’s officially feeling like Fall lately, too! I can’t drop the kids off at school in my jammies anymore… that’s for sure.

Then again, if I threw this great little denim jacket over my jammies, nobody would ever know that I don’t shower ’till lunchtime every day. ;)

To Indulge my Creative Self September 26, 2006

Halloween I’m such a creative person - I know a lot of moms are the same way.

This time of year gets me craving creative time. I want to knit, get crafting, grab Halloween cookie recipes, paint, you name it - I want to do it.

The books that come out in the fall are so inspiring - and even though you may not find Martha Stewarts’ life very inspiring, you might agree with me that I still find her creative ideas very inspiring…

To Survive the Teenage Years

Teens Ask Deepak: All the Right Questions My oldest daughter is almost 12 - and teenage angst is already in full force in my household. Admitedly, she is much more mature and grounded than I was at her age - but she’s 12, I’m her mom, and heads clash. End of story!

I found this book today and just loved the premise - a spiritual leader’s answers to a teenager’s questions on spirituality and life. I can’t wait to grab a copy and share it with my “Mini Me”.

Fountain / Cabochon Rectangle - Charcoal

I think every working mamma should have a little fountain at her desk - whether it be in a home office or outside of the house. There’s nothing quite so relaxing as the sound of running water - which is why I totally [heart] these little desk fountains.

So go for a little pampering and grab one - you’ll feel so indulgent you’ll wonder what you ever did without the darn thing!

3 Foot Sonic Ghoul

Now that all of my kids are at the age that they have graduated from sippy-cups, we can really have some f-u-n with them.

We can finally go to Great America and justify the price.

We can go to the movies and actually watch a movie we can all enjoy.

And we can scare the dickens out of them at Halloween time and they actually get a kick out of it!

Buy one now to scare the dickens out of your kids too! ;)

Sony Single Tray DVD Recorder - RDR-GX330

If your kids are anything like my kids, you HATE buying them DVDs - because within just a few short weeks [days???] the DVDs are scratched and ruined.

Paying extra for Comcast DVR was the best investment we have ever made - I haven’t bought a DVD since, and we simply record all of the latest movies released every week!

But then I thought about the times when we need to take the DVDs to a different place - like this weekend when we will be at a sales seminar and the kids will be spending lots of time in a hotel room with a sitter. NOW is the time we need a DVD recorder to grab the movies and make ‘em mobile!
