NordicWare 10-c. Nonstick Platinum Series Castle Bundt Pan

OK, I freely admitted my dorkiness earlier this week. So now I feel safe to tell you that I also love to bake. I really love it. Especially for the holidays and for birthdays. I just made a caterpillar cake last week for my daughter’s 4th birthday. But after I saw this pan, I wish I had made her a castle cake.

You know what I love about this pan? I don’t have to do a darn thing to make it turn out beautiful. Just stir the cake mix and pour… ;)

InkSaver 2.0 Download

I used to own a color laser printer that printed on paper up to 11″x17″. I loved having the ability to print my own professional-looking marketing materials in my own basement. The convenience was fantastic.

But when I had to replace the toner cartridges, I about crapped my pants. They were over $800 a set!!

But now they have this unbelievably cool software that saves ink every time you print. How come all the really great products aren’t invented until AFTER I need them?!

To Spook our Table August 29, 2006

I get a bit dorky around the holidays. I mean, Martha Stewart-ish dorky, with all sorts of holiday crap all over my house. I’m already getting geared up for Haloween. Shhh…. Don’t tell anyone!

Actually, you know full well why I do it - because you are probably a parent too. It’s ALL for the kids. I really ONLY do it for them. REALLY. I get NO pleasure out of it WHATSOEVER….Really.

Silk Blend Cargo Skirt

I loooooove shopping for clothes in the fall. Some of the most beautful things start showing up on the racks and I tend to want all of them. What’s especially cool is that you can usually find things you can incorporate into a late summer outfit or a winter outfit.

Kind of like this awfully cute cargo skirt. Yep. I want one.

My kids have inherited my old computer - from like 5 years ago. I installed a Windows Update on the system long ago and the thing has never been the same. Try 2 full minutes from icon click to browser window open. Yes, it’s that bad!

Now that Back to School is… well, BACK… my kids need to get on the internet on a regular basis. This HP Pavilion is only $250 smackers after rebate.

What a DEAL! What am I writing for? I should be ordering!!

To Get a Little Eccentric

Mommon (Garden Version)

I love Asian art. I think I got it from my Grandma. Although she passed on much of her Asian art to me when she died, I have added a few of my own pieces along the way.

So now the truth is out. I doubt there are a lot of other eMoms out there that would share my love of Mommon, the Buddha of Comfort and Joy. But “eMom” isn’t just a tech savvy knickname - it also stands for Eccentric Mom - of which I proudly am! :)

Dutch Iris - Mixed

I love flowers in my yard. I love plants in my home. I’m just not very good at keeping them alive though… I have a bit of a brown thumb.

But with perrenials, I have found a few ways to actually add color (BESIDES brown!) to my yard - and the plants actually live! And they are SO low maintenance that a busy entreprenurial mom can actually have her plants and eat them too - oh, wait, that’s cake

Anyway, since Iris are my favorites, I want to plant them this fall so I can enjoy them in the spring. And I promise not to eat them!

To Encourage my Kids to Dream Big Too! August 22, 2006

World's Largest Write-On Map Mural

I know I’m a bit of a dreamer at times. It helps to keep me focused on positive things and positive outcomes - and allows me to take my business places that I wouldn’t be able to get to if I simply settled into “life as usual”.

I do try to keep my feet on the ground while I reach for the stars. I want to be an example to my kids, not a flaky mom! At the same time, I really encourage them to dream big and think of the bigger picture. A huge map like this would be a great tool to remind them of how good they have it - and of how both big and small they are in this world!

Saachi Silver Brushed Metal Paperweight - Swirl

Look at this Beoootiful paperweight from Franklin Covey. The quote from Thoreau on it says:

“Go confidently into the direction of your dreams! Live the life you always imagined”.

Words to live and die by - AND run your business by!

I love to be inspired. Especially by cool little things like this… but be forewarned. I’m not the only one around that fell in love with this little swirly paper holding trinket of dreams. It’s on backorder and won’t be delivered until mid September!

Sony XM Ready Shelf System - CMT-HPR99XM

I luuuuuuv to dance. I will boogie down in the car, and my 4 and 6 year old will dance along in the back seat - all while my poor 11 year old daughter tries to crawl onto the floor in the front seat.

Since my office is almost ready, and it’s really more of a walk in closet than an office (I’ve seen bigger closets…), what better treat than to get this tiny but powerful bookshelf sound system from Sony?

That way I can keep my energy up and boogie at my desk - to keep me up all night writing great posts now that dear Darren sent me so much traffic that I don’t know what to do with myself… ;)
