Desktop Organizer - Aluminum by OFFI

My office is rather tiny. I had a big desk hutch, but the thing was so big it took up my entire wall. So I found this really slick and cool aluminum desktop organizer. It’s big - 42″ wide, but only 10″ tall - so it doesn’t overpower my space. I [heart] it!!

Pandan Storage Tower - Round Set of 3 by Neatnix

I have been on an organizing RAMPAGE lately. I find it SO much easier to focus when my home is clean and my office organized.

Realizing that my house is indeed in shambles (we are renovating) and my office is only partially organized (still under construction), I decided to take action (hence, Organizing Week!!. I spent ALL Labor Day weekend painting and cleaning.

I feel much saner now. But I still have more STUFF to reign in!!

Mahogany Expand-A-Drawer It’s official. It’s Organizing Week on my I Want One Blog.

I’m getting a little OCD with this stuff, can you tell?? ;)

Check out this nifty little drawer organizer that basically doubles your drawer space.

Considering I only have three drawers in my kitchen, this is nifty, nifty, nifty indeedy!

PlanPlus 3.0 for Microsoft Outlook - Full Version Download (100MB)

OK, I know I don’t need this. I tend to intimidate my friends with how much I put on my plate each week - yet still find time to take my kids to the zoo or grab dinner with my hubby. But I am always looking for tools and tricks to make even my crazy schedule easier to manage - so I would LOVE to get this Franklin Covey software that integrates with Outlook.

I went to a Franklin Covey time management program once a very long time ago. I loved it! They have a great system and I still use some of the things I learned there to this day. They are great - I really highly recommend their program no matter how you implement it!

Mahogany Remote Control Holder by Richards Homewares

If our family is like yours, you probably have 2 or 3 remote controls for your living room alone, then 5+ others around the house for other TVs, lights, DVD players, etc. I can’t tell you how much time I spend every week looking for even one of these #$%& remote controls. It’s embarrassing. Why can’t they just always be put in the same spot?

Well, duh, probably because I don’t have a ’spot’ set aside for remote controls. But if I had this nifty little box, I would.

Next week I’ll be wanting a mind-control machine to force my kids to put the remote IN THE BOX… but that’s another want for another day…

To Clean up my Messy Yard August 12, 2006

One of my things to do on my Big List of Things Procrastinated is to get our woodpile organized in the yard. We have wood in three different places, and none of them are really piled up the way they should be, off of the ground and all neat-and-tidy-looking. And I don’t want to be piling all of this stuff up in the wintertime when it’s cold, cold, cold (Chicago is cold in the wintertime!!).

So to have a handy little cart like this would make my wood-piling-life-easier. Actually, it would make my hubby’s life easier, because I would probably make him do most of the work. ;)
