We’re all so busy. Busy working. Busy cleaning up the house. Busy driving to various extracurricular activities. Even our kids are busy! Busy doing homework. Busy doing chores. Busy practicing instruments and sports. Well, at least we hope our kids are busy doing those things.
Today while my daughter was doing her homework she said,
“Oh! I wish I had taken the “no homework” coupon when I had the chance!”
She was named Student of the Week in her class and she had the choice of sitting at the teacher’s desk or getting a night off of homework. Ah, hindsight is always 20/20.
But her comment gave me a great Valentine’s Day idea! As part of their Valentine’s Day surprises, I decided to give each of my daughters a coupon book. Each coupon will be one way to make a day of their choice a little more special, a little more fun, or a little less busy.
While I was prepared to make these Valentine coupons myself, I was lucky enough to find a cool website to do it for me! ActivitiesforKids.com has created printable coupons, including ones for a special dessert, playing a game together, staying up an extra 1/2 hour, and a day of no chores. (I know my girls will be particularly thrilled with that last one!)
So if you’re looking for a simple, creative Valentine’s Day idea, I think your kids will love getting some Valentine coupons! I know mine will! Your kids might also like printable Valentine coloring pages and activities.
