A friendly place to find help & encourage one another |
I mentioned earlier that next week we’ll be focusing on Search Engine Optimization as part of the eMoms Birthday Party Contest (which is turning into a mini Elite Retreat!)
As fate would have it, a perfect synchronization of events have taken place, and I’m thrilled to announce that Search Engine Guide is a new sponsor of eMoms at Home. This couldn’t be a more perfect pairing of companies, as SEG is one of the most comprehensive and excellent resources on the internet for search marketing advice for small business, plus it’s one of my daily reads. They offer a ton of value, and I couldn’t recommend their blog or their forum more highly!
Editor Jennifer Laycock is also a fellow work at home mom, and I swear we exchanged about 50 emails this week getting to know each other better. You may know her from the infamous Pork Board lawsuit against her blog, The Lactivist (which had a very happy ending, by the way).
So, what do you have to look forward to during SEO Week? The prizes just keep getting better!
First and foremost :: The Content
- An interview with the SEO Guru herself, Jennifer Laycock
- An interview with Chris Pearson and Sarah Lewis on the SEO implications in template design (my final guest post over at ProBlogger)
- A feature of the super-star moms and women in the SEO industry
Next up :: The Goods
- Aaron Wall’s excellent and #1 ranked SEO Book ($79 value)
- A free year of SoloSEO do-it-yourself keyword optimization and management services from Michael Jensen ($348 value)
- And the latest? A SEO-optimized custom site redesign by loyal eMoms reader Shazia Mistry. (Value = Lot$!)

Hey Wendy!
Can’t find any originator to “SEO Week”…Did you just make it up?
If so, submit a specific day to Chase’s Calendar of Events and make it official. Deadline for 2008 is April 15th. Here’s the link: http://www.mhprofessional.com/?page=/mhp/categories/chases/content/submit_an_entry.html
For anyone else, this is a great marketing tip!
Peace, Ponn
Oops…BTW, looking forward to next week’s posts/interviews!
Thats awesome. Congrats on the sponsorship. And I can’t wait to read the interviews and content.
I’m new to your site but I think I came at the perfect time. I’ve been trying to figure out ways to increase traffic at my site and this week should help me find the answers.
I am excited to read the upcoming posts about SEO…it is a fascinating topic for any business owner, no matter if there business is based online or off.
