MyBlogLog Integrates Del.icio.us Tags Into Profiles

A friendly place to find help & encourage one another

I’ve been spending a lot more time on del.icio.us lately as a way to bookmark(and organize) sites for post research on the fly. And I also luuuuuuuuurrrv MyBlogLog to stay really connected with site visitors.

So I was incredibly psyched to see that the two have become one with their new del.icio.us tag integration into both Author profiles and Site profiles:MyBlogLog and del.icio.us UNITE!

You can now not only tag other bloggers and blogs to remember the topic associated with them, but you can now also search tags to find blogs and bloggers on the topics of your choice. You can also tag yourself with keywords you want people to find you with.

The greatness of all of this is the social part - which del.icio.us and MyBlogLog are sooooooooo good at already - you’ll be able to see who tagged you with what keywords, and the more that people tag you with certain keywords, the more you’ll get found by those keywords.

Genius.

By the way, you can also protect yourself against spam easily by simply deleting tags that may be inappropriate. Like, when my Top Ten Hottest Moms in SEO post got tagged with this word. GAWD.

Thank you for this (very enthusiastic) write up, Wendy. It sounds like an interesting integration.

I must read your articles on MyBlogLog because I don’t feel like I’m getting the best out of it. You have got some interesting titles here which could bring me up to speed. They’re certainly bound to get me excited about it, at least! :)

I’ve only recently really begun to use both del.icio.us and MyBlogLog but the news that they now have tag integration is exciting. I can’t wait to begin using it.

Hello Again! Sorry I haven’t been by. Good posts lately. But yeah, MyBloglog seems to be quite the place. I signed up just this month. I get some views.

Anywho, keep it up! I haven’t been “tagged” their yet. And I don’t think your “bad” tag would apply. ;)

    Have a Good Memorial Day.
